Literature Searches
Literature searches for patient care are performed immediately. There is a charge for library patrons not on staff at St. Patrick Hospital.

For a fee, the Medical Library's Search Service performs individually tailored searches from a variety of databases, such as, Medline, CINAHL, PsychInfo, UpToDate and InfoTrac, to name a few databases. The searches result in a bibliography of articles, and some databases also provide abstracts and full text of the articles indexed

Self-service searching on a variety of databases is available at no charge, on 10 workstations in the library. Users may search a variety of databases as well as the Internet via the library's website. Library staff is available to assist users

Literature searches may be requested via e-mail, fax or telephone.
